Just try to remember the last time you dusted off your yellow pages to look for something or someone, using the yellow pages -

Huh? I haven't even brought the yellow pages to the house. It goes - no offense - from the curb - to the paper recycling can - minus the plastic bag, which goes into it's little compartment for recycling.

All the while I'm thinking - what a waste - taking up my time with all the recycling, but how long will it sit somewhere else?

I'm just one person, how many millions of yellow page books are building up piles and piles of paper. The bags - those too.

I can't believe that it helps our planet?

Now I'm wondering - why we are having such a hard time letting go - letting go of stuff we no longer need. Is it that we still have the yellow pages to keep people working?

What a price are we paying for that - maybe we could give people who work for the yellow pages that money to keep them from working there - would that be better financially?

Oh yes - the business people who faithfully - without even thinking fork over the money for something that brings in ..how much - did you say?

It's time - that we are a little more realistic, because while we are dreaming and plodding along and recycling useless new yellow books - our economy is in a real jam, the rich are getting ...well we heard the rhetoric, because that's not going to change, and the working class is joining the poor, and we knew that was going to happen the moment we bailed out the banks.

I wonder if the word "bank" could be used like the word f...k, you know , with the same satisfying hiss between the lips.

Well - I just wish we'd learn, and then never make the same mistake again...just seems so foolish, like banging your head against the wall even though it hurt the first time around.

So people - the time for the forced delivery of the yellow pages has ended. I didn't order mine - did you?

Okay - for one more year, mine is in the recycling bin and I can think abut something else - hey Henry, what's for dinner!

Now about the dummification of America - us...
